THE PLACES WE WILL GO Online Project 2009 brings Google Earth, Geography, & Reading into our classroom! This is yet another excellent project hosted by Jennifer Wagner. The project is open to all PreK - 6th Grade classrooms from all around the world. Students will be using google earth to locate a variety of well-known landmarks around the world and then calculate distance from Taylor School to the location of each landmark. We will be traveling to 10 famous world re-known places, and then to four more locations of our choice. Google Earth is such an amazing web 2.0 tool for students to work with. Not only will we be finding out how far it is , but we will also be learning some very interesting facts about each place, and how it is different from our home location.
